Want to learn more about sponsoring a child? | Already sponsor a child? | Compassion Cottage Updates
Compassion International exists for one simple reason: to break the cycle of poverty for children everywhere. This vision stems from Rev. Everett Swanson who, in the early 1950s, developed a system for caring people to sponsor Korean children for just a few dollars a month. This provided the children with food, shelter, clothing, education, and healthcare along with Christian training and personal attention.
- Compassion has been releasing children from poverty for over 50 years
- More than 1 million children in 20+ countries are being impacted
- RiverTree sponsors over 900 children and several college students
- RiverTree has funded four Child Survival Programs in Peru and Ecuador
- RiverTree has also funded five Orphan and Vulnerable Children Cottages in Tanzania (TZ)
