BENEVOLENCE TEAM MEMBER JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Benevolence Team Member

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Minister to those in need, both financially and spiritually.
• Evaluate applications for financial assistance, contact assigned applicants to review and seek additional information, and make recommendations to committee.
• Evaluate recommendations made by other committee members.
• Meet with some applicants to discuss details in setting up a budget.
• Mandatory attendance at monthly committee meetings (1 ½ - 2 Hrs.)
• Evaluate community services that can also support the financial needs of the applicants.
• Abide by the Benevolence operations manual guidelines

Qualifications:

• Partner of RiverTree Christian Church
• Completed SHAPE seminar with strong administrative, leadership, and compassion skills
• Background in accounting and budgeting
• Personal finances in order
• Basic computer skills, Microsoft Excel a plus

Committee Members report to the Pastor assigned to the Benevolence Committee
